PASS PLUS

Pass plus/motorway lessons
Congratulations, you have now passed your driving test

The Pass Plus course was introduced once you had passed your're driving practical test to save you pounds on your Vehicle insurance

The Pass Plus scheme
The Pass Plus course was taken after you have passed your driving test. (You have 1 year from the date of your practical test date to take the course). When you have completed the course (remember this is not a test), you will be entitled to either a discount on your insurance or an automatic no claims bonus when you first insure your car with one of the major Insurance companies that support this scheme.

(Please check that the company that you intend to use as your insurer does support the scheme).

Once you have completed the 6 modules your instructor will inform the DVSA and they will issue you with a certificate to present to your insurance company.

The Pass Plus course covers the following 6 modules which will be taken in a 6 – 9 hr lesson taken in 1 day. However if the course cannot be completed in a 6 hour day we will rollover the amount of time needed to complete the course to another day.

1. Town Driving

2. All weather driving

3. Out of town driving and rural roads

4. Night driving

5. Dual carriageway driving

6. Motorway Driving

Making you a safer driver

Who developed the course?
The Government developed the course with the assistance of the Driving Vehicle standards agency (DVSA) and leading Insurance companies, to improve driving skills in areas where you have little or no practice or simply need to boost your confidence. This in turn will reduce the risk of you being involved in an accident.

The main aim of this course is to promote positive driving, to get you away from the “driving like a learner” stereotype.
It will also be your first introduction to motorway driving.

One of the key elements to the Pass Plus course is making you realise that driving a car can be dangerous, so you need to gain experience quickly and safely.
The best way too do this is through professional tuition.

As a new driver, you are more likely to have an accident in the first year of passing your driving test than at any other time in your motoring career. Lack of experience means that you can be as much as TWO SECONDS slower than a more practiced motorist.

Young new drivers are especially vulnerable as they are new drivers and they are involved in 20% of road accidents in which result in minor and unfortunately major injury's.  The Pass Plus gave you valuable extra experience and positive driving skills that would otherwise take a long time to acquire.

You should want to be a safer and better driver.

Unfortunately insurance company's no longer recognise the Pass plus scheme and the black box has been introduced so you save money.  However this does not give you the correct training on Motorway and different types of slip roads.
So if you would like a 4/5 hour motorway lesson give us a call us on 01472 476016 to discuss the course further.
Prices

Unfortunately the motorway course will not save you ££££’s on your vehicle insurance but it would give you extra knowledge on motorway driving that you would not of covered on a normal driving lesson and give yourself a skill your life.
